FAQ

WHERE CAN I BE SEEN? DO I HAVE TO BE HOME-BOUND?

  • You can be seen in the comfort and privacy of your home or senior community.

  • Our clients are usually not home-bound,  just prefer 1:1 treatment , have difficulty getting to a clinic, or have a difficulty time scheduling with traditional outpatient therapy clinics.

DO YOU OFFER SELF-PAY SERVICES?

  • Yes!

  • Ask about Special Population Personal Training with a Physical Therapist.

  • For specific questions or self pay rates, please call us at (847) 791-0061

ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM A HOME HEALTH AGENCY?

  • Yes!  We make physical therapy house calls billed under outpatient insurance benefits (Medicare Part B).  Home Health agencies practice under a home care model (billed under Medicare Part A) and can include multiple providers.

  • Home health agencies are focused on recovery and discharge after an acute illness, injury or hospitalization.  Our focus is to preserve and improve mobility, function, and quality of life under any circumstance.

Our Services

Pre Operative and Post Operative Rehabilitation

Physical therapy after surgery is extremely important for ensuring a full recovery. In addition to many other benefits, post-surgical rehabilitation can also help you regain full range of motion in the affected area. Physical Therapy Now specializes in pre- and post-surgical physical therapy for total joint replacements and partial tears of muscles and ligaments. In addition, surgeries related to hips, knees, arms, hands, shoulders, and feet/ankles often require physical therapy for optimal recovery.

Golf Assessment and Training

Golfers seeking help from a physical therapist with expertise in golf performance can achieve proper biomechanics and body movement while avoiding injury, eliminating pain from an existing injury and/or improving the consistency of the golf swing.

Balance Training

Improving your walking skills — technically known as your “gait” — and your balance are interrelated challenges. Physical therapy helps you master these skills to decrease your risk of injury, while at the same time increasing your confidence and independence.

Our Team

Cristy Steinberg, DPT

Cristy started Physical Therapy Now 3 years ago when she was frustrated with the patient care she was giving her patients at busy outpatient orthopedic clinics.  She believes that all patients should be treated like family giving them a comprehensive and thoughtful plan of care and treatment program. For the last 14 years she has treated mostly patients 50 and older, helping them live healthy and active lives. She approaches all her patients as one unit rather than a body part, optimizing their entire physical well being. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.   Cristy is Titlesit Performance Institute Certified.

Tracy Jacobson, MSPT, SFMA

Tracy brings 19 years of experience to her patients.  She holds a Masters in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver and is a certified SFMA(Selective Functional Movement Assessment) practitioner. Additionally, Tracy is Titleist Performance Institute Certified.

Tracy loves helping her patients learn to move and feel better through functional movement and exercise. Tracy helps her patients progress into older age with less pain, improved activity levels, and a better quality of life.
